Gatherings, Anyone?

We have several gatherings that we're presently working on at this time. Gatherings are such a special way to meet letterboxers and learn. Our very first gatherings that we attending not only sealed the deal on our interest in this hobby but found it to be a vehicle by which we formed some very special friendships. And, we call our sponsored gatherings and trips Pinecone Adventures - which can be anything from a small mini meet given for Sue & I in some area of the country that we might be visiting or something on a huge scale like next year's Letterboxing Cruise to Alaska!!! Either way, besides exchanging with us there is a little bonus for you!

Our next gathering is this October's Bed & Boxing 3 - A Green Mountain Journey! that takes place the weekend of October 22 - 24 in a mystery location in Vermont. Don't miss out on this gathering if you are stumped as to the location. Email us and we'll be happy to help! This gathering is limited to 50 people and at last check, we are very close to that limit. Again, as in all of our Pinecone Adventures, there is a little twist and a little turn planned for those that attend. Hope you can make it - just look at who's signed up already - it's a terrific crowd and there's no better way to get to meet and get acquainted with boxers than staying up late after a long day boxing in your flannel pants talking about our favorite pastime. These weekend type gatherings make long-lasting friendships. We've seen it happen!

The next gathering we'd like to spotlight is that once-in-a-lifetime Letterboxing Cruise to Alaska!!! booked for next July. Everyone cruises from Seward, Alaska on board Celebrity Cruise Lines' Millennium on a one way, southerly trip through glaciers, stunning wildlife and whaling areas, and quaint seaside harbors like Skagway and Ice Strait Point. There is an optional 4 night Land Tour that will take place before the cruise that travels from Fairbanks to Denali National Park and stops at Anchorage as well. All of this optional land portion is done with a professional guide and transportation includes the glass-domed trains that offer 360 degree views of the stunning, unspoiled Alaskan scenery.

More details on the Alaska letterboxing cruise can be found here on our special web page. A $500 per stateroom deposit will hold your cabin (balance due by April 15, 2011) and allow you to choose one on the same floor as the rest of the group. Deadline for this trip's special pricing and amenities requires that you make your deposit with our special travel agent by November 1. Our special travel agent, Danielle, is fantastic and very patient and will answer all of your questions and arrange for all of your special needs. What a trip - exploring Denali, boxing on the sea on the ship, meeting boxers from around the country and visiting unique ports of call with wildlife galore! A win-win-win situation to be sure!
